A. Write answers to the following questions:
Q.1. What places do the trains go to? ਰੇਲਾਂ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ?
Ans. The trains go over the mountains, plains and rivers.
ਰੇਲਾਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ, ਮੈਦਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Q.2. What do they carry? ਉਹ ਕੀ ਲਿਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ?
Ans. They carry passengers and mail. ਉਹ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਲਿਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Q.3. Why does the poet call passengers and mail as “precious loads”?
ਕਵੀ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕ ਨੂੰ ‘ਵੱਡਮੁੱਲਾ ਭਾਰ’ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ?
Ans. Because they are very important. ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਨ।

Ans. Freight cars are train cars which carry load. ਮਾਲਭਾੜਾ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਰੇਲਡੱਬੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਭਾਰ ਢੋਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
B. Read the following lines and answer the questions that follow:

Through dusk (ਸੂਰਜ ਛਿਪਣਾ) and dawn (ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਣਾ).

Ans. Trains keep on running all the time. ਰੇਲਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਚਲਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Q. 2. What do the ‘day and darkness’ and ‘dusk and dawn’ in the poem tell the readers? ‘ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸੂਰਜ ਦਾ ਛਿਪਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਣਾ” ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ? Ans.
