Read the poem and write answers to the following.
Q1. Why does the poet say that the rain is beautiful? ਕਵੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ?

Ans. Because it provides relief from dust and heat. ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਧੂੜ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਮੀਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਹਤ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Q2. Which are the places where the rain falls? ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਰਖਾ ਗਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ?
Ans. Streets, lanes, roofs and window panes. ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਤੰਗ ਗਲੀਆਂ, ਛੱਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਿੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ।

Q3. Why does the poet repeat the first line? ਕਵੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ?
Ans. To make us realize the beauty of the rain. ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ।

Q4. What gushes and struggles out? ਬੌਛਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਗ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੀ ਨਿੱਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ?
Ans. The rain water. ਵਰਖਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ।

Q5. Why is the rain like a tramp of hoofs? ਵਰਖਾ ਖੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਰਗੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ?
Ans. Because it clatters like a tramp of hoofs. ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਖੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖਟਖਟਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
